Complete step-by-step guide to connect Razorpay and start collecting payments

Prerequisites
Before you start, ensure you have:
- A valid business in India
- PAN card of the business/business owner
- Business address proof
- Bank account details for settlements
- GST number (if applicable)
Step-by-Step Setup
Create a Razorpay Account
a. Visit razorpay.com
b. Click on "Sign Up" in the top right corner
c. Enter your email address and create a password
d. Verify your email through the link sent to your inbox
e. Complete your profile with business details
Complete KYC Verification
Submit the following documents for verification:
a. Business Details: Business name, type, and category
b. PAN Card: Business PAN or individual PAN (for proprietorship)
c. Address Proof: Utility bill, rent agreement, or GST certificate
d. Bank Details: Account number, IFSC code, cancelled cheque
e. Business Proof: GST certificate, incorporation certificate, or shop license
Verification typically takes 24-48 hours. You'll receive an email once approved.
Connect to Mr. Manager
a. During onboarding, or later from Settings > Payments, tap Connect Razorpay
b. You will be redirected to Razorpay's authorization flow
c. Review the access and permissions requested by Mr.Manager
d. Click Allow or Connect to continue
e. If you do not want to proceed, click Decline or Cancel
f. Once approved, your Razorpay account will be connected to Mr.Manager
g. You will see the connected status reflected inside the platform
Test Your Integration
a. Create a test payment link or invoice
b. Complete a small test transaction (₹1)
c. Verify the payment appears in both Mr. Manager and Razorpay dashboard
d. Check if you receive payment confirmation notifications

Note: Fees are automatically deducted from the transaction amount. The net amount is settled to your bank account. Fees and settlement terms may change from time to time. Please also verify the latest details on Razorpay.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Razorpay integration mandatory?
No, but it's highly recommended. Without Razorpay, you can still track payments manually, but you won't be able to accept online payments directly through Mr. Manager.
Can I use my existing Razorpay account?
Yes! If you already have a Razorpay account, simply connect it using your existing API keys. There's no need to create a new account.
Are there any hidden charges?
No hidden charges from Mr. Manager. You only pay Razorpay's standard transaction fees as listed in the pricing section. These fees are clearly mentioned upfront.
What happens if Razorpay is down?
If Razorpay experiences downtime, online payments won't work temporarily. You can still track payments manually in Mr. Manager. Razorpay has 99.9% uptime historically.
Can I disconnect Razorpay later?
Yes, you can disconnect Razorpay anytime from your settings. Your historical payment data will be preserved, but you won't be able to accept new online payments.
Is my money safe with Razorpay?
Yes. Razorpay is RBI-approved, PCI-DSS compliant, and trusted by over 8 million businesses. They use bank-grade security and are regulated by financial authorities.
